Our aim is to provide a memorable holiday in tranquil surroundings. We can tailor a holiday to suit you and offer short breaks, self catering or fully catered options. We offer a variety of in-house pastimes.
The Townleigh Estate is located just outside the ancient market town of Launceston - known as the gateway to Cornwall. It's famous castle was begun shortly after the Norman Conquest and stands proud above the town. Today, Launceston is a thriving market town - with a selection of traditional farm shops and more boutique outlets.
The family-owned estate comprises 260 acres of rolling countryside, a main house and various outbuildings - all of which have been refurbished to a high standard. Our equestrian center caters for DIY or full livery and we offer a range of countryside pursuits on the estate. There are outstanding views of the Dartmoor National Park and Bodmin Moor and we are well placed on the Cornwall/ Devon order to access both counties - should you wish to explore.
Roadford Lake , one of the largest reservoirs in the West Country, is situated two miles away and provides sailing plus a network of hiking and bicycle trails. The Granite Way cycle/walkway is also nearby with much of the National Park on its route.
The Townleigh Estate is 40 minutes drive approximately from both the North and South Devon Coast . The former is noted for its rugged coastline and surfing whilst the latter with its sandy beaches is ideal for family days out.
There are numerous National Trust properties within the area together with specialist attractions such as the Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.
Golf to suit all standards is available locally.
